INR — Journalist Data Management
A system for inputting and managing journalist data along with associated files and metadata.
ReactNode.jsExpress.jsMySQLDocker
About This Project
INR is a Kompas application for inputting and managing journalist data, together with the files and metadata attached to each record. I built and maintained it fullstack as part of the R&D core team.
The Problem
The system needed to capture structured journalist data alongside file uploads and detailed metadata, keeping everything consistent and retrievable across a large editorial organization.
How We Solved It
I delivered a fullstack application with a modern frontend and Node.js/Express services over MySQL, handling structured data, file attachments, and metadata in one place.

Results
Impact & Outcomes
Centralized journalist data with files and metadata in one system
Delivered as part of Kompas's modern-stack initiative
What I Learned
Handling files and metadata at scale reinforced how important a clean data model is — getting the schema right early saved constant rework later.
