About This Project
KGContent is Kompas Gramedia's Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform — the system of record for editorial content and media assets. I built and maintained it fullstack as part of the R&D core team, focusing on making an enormous, historically fragmented archive fast to search and access.
The Problem
Kompas's content stretched from the 1990s to the present, spread across fragmented sources and formats. Search was slow, and much older material still lived in physical form that had never been digitized.
How We Solved It
I optimized big-data access by introducing Elasticsearch as the search and indexing layer, consolidated the scattered archives into one centralized source, and supported the effort to convert physical archives into searchable digital records.

What I Learned
Working with decades of media data showed me how much leverage the right search architecture provides — the archive's value was unlocked by finally making it findable.
